Dental Implants
This case demonstrates how implants have changed dentistry. Not very long ago the only way this could have been permanently restored would have been with a fixed bridge. We would have had to cut down the two perfectly good teeth on either side of the missing tooth. The implant was restored with a porcelain crown.

This patient needed a new upper denture and had to have many of the lower teeth extracted due to old ill-fitting bridges. Also as you can tell in the upper right photo the patient's bite was too overlapped. An implant retained upper denture was fabricated and the lower was restored with a combination of implant and natural tooth retained fixed bridges, along with porcelain crowns. Notice the obvious improvement in the bite in the lower right picture.

CEREC
Patient was very self-conscience of the large black silver amalgams that showed when she talked. They were replaced in one visit with Cerec crowns. She did not need to bite on the goopey impression material and did not have to wear temporary crowns

These are great examples of what CEREC can do to eliminate the look of old corroded silver amalgam, while actually strengthening the teeth at the same time.

This case is a great example of the power of CEREC. This patient came in with her front tooth broken off with minimal remaining tooth structure. She was leaving on vacation the next day. Without CEREC she would have needed a root canal, post, and crown. This would have taken several visits, several weeks, and quite an investment. With CEREC the case was completed in a little over an hour and she left for vacation the next day with a permanent crown in place!
